Donna and Peter welcome you to their friendly, traditional village pub offering a warm welcome to all our customers.

We serve a fine selection of cask ales, lager, cider, spirits and wines. For those wanting something to eat, we offer a snack, main menu and specials board, with a traditional carvery on a Thursday and Sunday lunch.

There are two cosy guest rooms in a separate converted cowshed, complete with Wi-Fi and en-suite with shower. 

Situated in the village of Newbold in North-West Leicestershire, with Calke Abbey and Staunton Harold virtually on our doorstep, we are approximately 3 miles from Ashby de la Zouch and just over 7 miles from East Midlands Airport and Castle Donnington,  with excellent links to the M1 and A42.

The hosts and current champions progressed through the round-of-16 stages thanks to an 8-2 hammering of Chelsea across the two legs. Liverpool didn't have it quite as easy across the two legs, however they did produce an impressive performance in the second match, winning 4-0 at Anfield to win 4-1 on aggregate

Unlike other Majors, participation at this event is by invitation only with a set criteria in place for the invitees, and the final field selected to play is the smallest of the four championships. All past winners of the Masters Tournament are among those extended an invitation, and this year will see veterans such as Fred Couples, Vijay Singh, and Mike Weir expected to join more recent winners such as Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler, and the man to put on the green jacket last year, Rory McIlroy.

Coverage of the 10th night of the tournament at Brighton Centre, with a format featuring quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final all in one night. The quarter-final matches are Luke Humphries v Jonny Clayton, Gerwyn Price v Josh Rock, Luke Littler v Stephen Bunting, and Michael van Gerwen v Gian van Veen. Luke Littler won this night last year after he defeated Nathan Aspinall 6-3 in the final.

At the other end of the leaderboard, notable players to miss the cut included Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia.

The visitors finally picked up their first league victory of the season in the reverse fixture at the start of January, thanks to an impressive 3-0 win at Molineux. Three first-half goals put Wolves in control of the game against a poor West Ham side as their earnt their first three points in the top flight at the 20th time of asking.

The hosts are battling to stay in the league while their visitors are still fighting for an automatic promotion place. The reverse fixture in October saw Millwall dominate the game at home and come away with a 3-0 victory thanks to goals from Jake Cooper, Femi Azeez and Zak Sturge.
